Notice of Five-Year Review

The Port of Anchorage is conducting the first five-year review of the former Defense Fuel Support Point – Anchorage contaminated site located on the Port of Anchorage. Remediation occurred at the site in the late 1990s and early 2000s and the site is currently listed as “Cleanup Complete – Institutional Controls” by the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) and undergoes yearly sampling of groundwater to protect human health and the environment. A summary of cleanup activities and an evaluation of the protectiveness of the implemented cleanup remedies will be included in the five-year review report.
